Abstract
The author discusses methodological issues of action research organisation and execution. The paper provides an overview of the current situation in the given field, points to methodological approaches, and proposes concrete ways of applying action research in educational practice. The reasons for this effort are reflected in the need for teachers to explore their professional practice and evaluate their educational work more objectively for the purpose of self-improvement, as well as in the need to approach project-based teaching with a variety of methodologically designed research procedures.
