Abstract
Development of educational software has opened the opportunity of their implementation in teaching musical literacy. Accordingly, basic aims and objectives of the research that is the subject of this paper focus on finding ways and possibilities to use the application Malleus in teaching musical literacy that is carried out in accordance with Combined functional method of Zorislava M. Vasiljevic. Qualitative and quantitative research, based on the method of contents analysis and in accordance with the model of numerical Likerttype scale, analysis and evaluation of representative sample software for development of musical hearing, theoretical knowledge and skills. The results have indicated that modules of educational software Malleus can be applied in the process of musical literacy courses in the local pedagogical area. In addition, tests confirmed that the software includes only the work on intonation and that the level of applicability varies by disciplines. Within final discussions, this paper indicates that future implementation of informationcommunication technologies in traditional teaching would result in a new model of modern solfeggio teaching, where educational software should become its technical base.
